Senior Quality Technician

Job Description Summary

Responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the production process by tracking non-conformities, calibrating equipment, training teams, and supporting corrective and preventive actions, with the goal of maintaining and improving compliance with quality standards.

• Manage non-conforming products and their disposal.
• Plan and manage periodic calibrations of measuring instruments.
• Support calibration/verification of production and laboratory equipment according to the production schedule or requests (e.g., furnace calibration).
• Perform inspections/verifications of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and approve material certificates to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Provide quality training to employees.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and/or corrective actions to address quality issues and improve production processes.
• Participate in the improvement of AP&C's quality management system according to standards (ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485, ISO 17025) and customer requirements.
• Perform any other related tasks.

Qualifications

• DEC or Quality Assurance Certificate or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485) and related quality principles.
• French, both oral and written, is required.
• Due to frequent interactions with the global team located outside Canada, advanced English, both oral and written, is required.
• Practical knowledge of MS Office and ERP, MES, LIMS systems.
• Problem analysis and resolution.
• Communication skills (written and verbal) and influence.
• Attention to detail and rigor.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision.
