Skills sought

• College diploma in water technology or College Certificate in water treatment, or any related training;
• CPO or pool operator certification (an asset);
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar position;
• Practical knowledge of pumping and filtration systems.
• Your mission on the boat

Under the supervision of the Mechanical and Building Maintenance Supervisor, the holder of this position is responsible for the management of water quality, maintenance, and upkeep of the Bota Bota, spa-on-the-water's water installations.

Challenges awaiting the Water Quality Management Technician

• Ensure the proper functioning of the spa's installations, including hot tubs, pools, and cold baths, at all times;
• Perform regular manual tests to calibrate automated water control systems to ensure compliance with government regulations and implement corrective measures if these regulations are not met;
• Maintain detailed records of water quality tests, chemical product usage, and maintenance and upkeep activities (annual planning);
• Ensure safety in the mechanical rooms (respect protocols, equipment checks, EPI management);
• Perform daily maintenance of the pools (sweeper, net), and mechanical rooms (floor and pipe cleaning);
• Perform weekly maintenance of mechanical room equipment, filter cleaning, controller maintenance, and chemical reservoir maintenance;
• Perform annual and biennial maintenance of pools and their reservoirs, including complete drainage, cleaning, and refilling (pool closures as needed);
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on mechanical room equipment such as pumps, injection systems, and filtration systems;
• Manage inventory, storage, and safe use of chemical products (in compliance with CNESST and SIMDUT regulations);
• During the winter season, assist in the handling of pool protective mats;
• Collaborate with the maintenance team for major projects: pool lining refurbishment, plumbing, and improvement of our installations;
• Collaborate with the crew team to ensure that pools and mechanical rooms meet the company's requirements;
• Work according to the company's established health and safety requirements and your supervisor's instructions;
• Responsible for training a colleague on the water testing and analysis aspect in your absence;
• Perform various related tasks as needed by the company.
• The pay range for this role is:
• 20 - 24 CAD per hour (Bota Bota Montreal)
