Job Responsibilities:
As a Food Production Associate at Landish, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of our diverse product range. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Following safety protocols: Adhering to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following food safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Preparing food ingredients: Weighing, measuring, and accurately preparing ingredients for use in food production, following established recipes and portion sizes.
- Equipment understanding: Gain proficiency in operating all equipment, including mixers, fillers, and packaging machines, etc., to ensure accurate, efficient, and smooth production processes.
- Equipment monitoring: Continuously monitor mixers, filling machines, packaging machines, and related equipment to ensure they are running properly and make adjustments as needed.
- Recipe understanding: Understand all recipes thoroughly to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Operating production equipment: Manually blending ingredients and filling jars or pouches to the correct weight. Adding labels and lot numbers to ensure proper product identification.
- Quality control: Conducting regular quality control checks on food products to ensure they meet established standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Packaging and labeling: Packaging and labeling finished food products for shipping or distribution, adhering to packaging guidelines and quality standards.
- Record-keeping: Maintaining accurate records of food production activities, including inventory, production schedules, and quality control measures.
- Maintaining cleanliness: Ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment by cleaning production room surfaces, floors, equipment, and utensils regularly and following strict sanitation procedures.
- Collaborating with other team members: Working closely with other members of the production team to ensure efficient and effective food production processes.
- Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize food production processes.
- Systems, policies, and procedures: Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures to maintain efficiency and compliance in food production operations.
- Training: Assist in training new employees to ensure they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
Additionally, all employees at Landish are expected to govern their activities and behavior by the rules of conduct in their relations with the company, fellow employees, and supervisors.

Qualifications
- Must pass a background check.
- At least 1 year of experience as a production worker OR Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals. Holders of MAPAQ food handler certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and keep up with the speed of the packing machine.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Time commitment:
This position is a full-time role, with 40 hours per week. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional flexibility required based on production demands.
Please note that occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary to meet production deadlines or address special circumstances.
Compensation: $18 CAD per hour, commensurate with experience.

Please note that this is an on-site position based in Lachine, Canada, and remote work options are not available. Our location offers convenient parking and accessibility via public transport.
