Versatile Cook

The Club Saint-James in Montreal is currently looking for a versatile cook reporting to the Chef. The cook is responsible for preparing and serving dishes in banquets and the restaurant, while respecting the quality of meals served to customers and food safety and hygiene rules.

Responsibilities

• Performs preliminary preparations
• Prepares dishes according to the menu and special orders
• Prepares the setup (service)
• Serves and delivers dishes
• Integrates into the production chain
• Applies and enforces food safety and hygiene rules
• Receives and checks the quantity and quality of deliveries
• Any other related tasks

• Performs the operation chain in strict compliance with food safety and hygiene rules
• Has good physical condition
• Has a good team spirit
• Is creative, methodical, and organized
• Is skilled at performing multiple tasks in parallel

Requirements

• Holds a basic professional training in cooking
• Has relevant experience of 2 years or more in restaurant cooking
• MAPAQ certification in hygiene and sanitation

Working Conditions

• Full-time employment from Monday to Friday
• Called to work occasionally on weekends
• 4% of vacation days

• Hourly rate to be discussed based on experience
• Salary: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
