- The Opportunity
We are looking to hire in Victoriaville, Quebec, within the Established Pharmaceutical Products Division (EPP). In this division, we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world's fastest-growing countries. Our extensive portfolio of generic, differentiated, and high-quality branded medicines covers many therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic disorders, pain management and central nervous system disorders, and respiratory disorders.
The successful candidate will act as the building and technical services engineer responsible for the site's building, technical services, and energy performance. They will plan and coordinate the maintenance and lifecycle of the infrastructure, manage building and public service contractors, and drive improvement projects such as decarbonization and energy efficiency initiatives. They will also ensure the reliability of utilities through the implementation and monitoring of structured preventive maintenance and asset replacement programs. They will drive investment projects related to their area of responsibility.
What You Will Do
- Determine, develop, and follow up on building and technical services projects.
- Develop the lifecycle of building and technical services: ventilation, water systems (urban, treated, purified, high-pressure), wastewater, steam consumption, pressure equipment, energy (electricity, generators, gas), and in-place cleaning systems.
- Lead programs aimed at efficient energy and water use.
- Document the operation of technical services on technical and pharmaceutical plans: ensure that technical drawings are up-to-date, complete non-conformity investigations, update procedures, and participate in equipment addition or replacement requests by providing the required technical support.
- Act as the first technical responder for any questions related to buildings and technical services and provide training to maintenance and project teams.
- Ensure, in collaboration with the maintenance department and external vendors, the planning of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for buildings and technical services.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in production within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry is an asset.
