Your responsibilities

• Coordinate operations related to the shipment of projects and packages, receipt and storage management of goods.
• Make submission requests, negotiate contracts and maximize the profitability of transportation costs.
• Communicate with customs brokers and ensure appropriate customized tariff classification.
• Prepare and track documentation for customs and transportation.
• Use, update and maintain the shipping schedule as needed.
• Ensure effective communication of the tracking of critical parts, shipment delays and receipt with internal stakeholders, customers and carriers.
• Plan pickups, deliveries and control all steps of these to ensure they are completed on time.
• Verify and approve freight invoices according to submissions and transportation contracts.
• Perform entry, update and tracking of data and information related to transportation, receipt and returns of goods from customers and suppliers in the integrated management system.
• Stay up to date with government regulations regarding freight transportation.
• Maximize storage space and keep the yard clean and safe at all times.
• Keep up to date and track quality criteria, operational procedures and business processes related to logistics.
• Propose corrective actions, implement solutions to recurring problems, optimize processes and follow up using reports and/or action plans.
• Communicate, participate in the animation of objectives and performance indicators of your team.
• Mobilize, sensitize and supervise your team on good practices and work procedures, as well as internal policies and health and safety rules.
• Actively participate in the development of skills and performance evaluation of your team.
• Initiate and participate in various planning and follow-up meetings.

Profile and skills sought

• Possess a degree in logistics and transportation or equivalent training/experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Bilingual (French and English mandatory)
• Good knowledge of MS Office suite
• Familiarity with an integrated management system (ERP)
• Ability to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Great adaptability and good management of priorities
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team
