About the position
The objective of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to provide daily operational services to Société Générale's investment banking and financing and investment banking entities, as well as their clients, to accelerate their transformation.

The Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) team belongs to the XRM (Cross Risk Metrics) department, whose objective is to support and develop tools primarily intended for the risk department (RISQ). You will join the CCR AMER feature team, responsible for several applications, including portfolio tracking tools shared between 1LOD and 2LOD. These tools are used to digitize key forms and decisions, automate manual processes and ongoing controls, create a reliable audit trail, generate real-time reporting, and improve data quality.

Your Mission
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Actively participate in data remodelling initiatives to support the migration of applications from on-premise private cloud environments to Microsoft Azure.
- Develop, build, test, and maintain architectures such as databases, large-scale processing systems, and cloud-optimized data warehouses.
- Collaborate with risk analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide high-quality datasets for analytics and machine learning.
- Optimize data distribution, rethink infrastructures for better scalability, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of data systems.
- Implement and enforce data security, governance, and compliance standards in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.
- Automate repetitive data-related tasks and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about the latest cloud trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve data engineering processes.
- Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance.
- Manage production processes, including writing release notes, developing deployment scripts, and conducting deployments with contingency and rollback plans.
- Production: participate in Level 3 (L3) support and incident management, including root cause analysis and resolution.

The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement since the person occupying this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners located in the United States.

Skills and Qualifications
- Essential Requirements (Must Have)
- University degree (bachelor's or equivalent) in computer science or a related field.
- Excellent proficiency in MS SQL Server 2022, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics for large-scale data warehouses.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Practical experience with Apache Spark and Databricks for processing and transforming large datasets.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, including data services and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
- Advanced skills in Power BI and Excel for creating analytical dashboards and reports.
- Proficiency in GitHub for source code management and collaborative development workflows.
- Comfort in Unix/Linux environments for development and deployment activities.
- Appreciated Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience in Java development.
- Experience with Angular 14+ and Bootstrap 5 for creating responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Knowledge of concepts and documentation related to credit risk and counterparty risk.
- Good understanding of capital markets products (guaranteed financing operations, derivatives) or corporate credits.
- Knowledge of U.S. or international financial regulations.
- ITIL certification.
- Azure Cloud certification.
- Languages
- French, English.
