What you will accomplish with us
As a Deputy Director, IT Service Delivery, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource for all IT services provided to the Industrial Alliance, Auto Insurance, and Housing sectors.
- Advise internal partners on the selection and implementation of IT solutions, including software acquisition and integration, shared and reusable services, and cloud solutions.
- Supervise the performance of the solutions under your responsibility, particularly in terms of security, suppliers, financial data, project health, production environment, and compliance.
- Lead the delivery of IT services and solutions according to business needs, IT vice-presidency objectives, quality standards, deadlines, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with processes, standards, and regulations, particularly in project management, design, development, procurement, configuration, testing, and compliance.
- Take ownership of business needs, applications, information, data, infrastructure, and services, while maintaining continuous communication with business sector managers.
- Plan and control financial, material, and human resources for your service, and report to management.
- What could accelerate your success in this role
- We are looking for a person who:
- Holds a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of equal standing.
- Has 15 years of relevant and in-depth experience in information technology.
- Possesses significant experience in managing multiple project teams and large-scale projects.
- Demonstrates expertise in preparing and presenting business cases for major IT projects, as well as in strategic planning for corporate IT development.
- Is known for their ability to manage relationships with user managers to contribute to the company's objectives.
- Understands the software development lifecycle, DevOps, agile methods, Lean, and mechanisms for establishing IT spending and investment budgets.
- Is recognized for their leadership, learning capacity, intellectual curiosity, communication skills, ability to mobilize teams in change, and interest in human resource development.
- Experience in property and casualty insurance is an asset.
- Intermediate level of English and advanced level of French are required, as the successful candidate will need to communicate with unilingual English and French-speaking external vendors on a practically daily basis.
