(CAN) Food Lead Department Manager

Position Summary...

The Food Lead Department Manager supports food area operations by working closely with the Food Assistant Manager to deliver a strong customer experience and efficient daily execution. This role helps coordinate task completion, maintain department standards and presentation, assign and support associate coverage, and assist with scheduling and training. By leading through teamwork and attention to detail, the Food Lead Department Manager helps ensure a safe, clean, and well run department that aligns with Company policies and standards.

What you'll do...

Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and courteously, assist customers by promoting products and services, spot merchandise and make purchasing decisions, resolve customer issues and escalate concerns, if necessary.

Help provide instructions and coordinate tasks in accordance with priorities established by the Assistant Food Manager and the Branch Leadership Team.

Assess the overall presentation of merchandise and the appearance of the food aisles while noting weaknesses to correct. Implement changes on display units, as needed.

Delegate, assist, and follow up on the completion of daily tasks related to the Customer Availability Process (CAP), as needed.

Assist with scheduling, as needed.

Assign associates who will help with tasks related to customer availability in all areas of the branch.

Participate in the training and development of food associates and provide feedback, as needed.

Contribute to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by following Company guidelines and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring display units are secured and free of debris.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
