Position Summary

This position will be responsible for advocating and supporting the Corporate WIN Strategy by managing the quality operations in the assigned Value Stream. Detail-oriented with a strong background in electronics, controls, troubleshooting, repairs, root cause analysis, and quality system processes. Hands-on experience supporting product quality, handling customer and supplier quality issues, managing RMAs, and contributing to corrective action activities in a fast-paced manufacturing or technical environment. Responsible for both tactical execution and strategic support. Reports to Division Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a psychologically safe team culture, promote safety as a core value, and ensure compliance with safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Set up, calibrate and test electronics systems and components by following schematics and diagrams.
  • Inspect, evaluate, and troubleshoot electronic products and components to identify quality issues. Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to resolve product quality issues.
  • Conduct test fixture checks and perform routine maintenance to keep electronic testing equipment functioning properly.
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and best practices.
  • Develop and establish quality procedures and inspection plans. Ensure that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
  • Assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications by performing statistical analyses.
  • Identify quality performance, trends and corrective action by coordinating with customers and supplier quality. Ensure compliance with specified quality requirements by performing internal audits.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing data and making recommendations. Analyze proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Represent company by interfacing with customers, assisting with internal and external audits. May act as main contact in audit. Develop and coordinate corrective action procedures and plans.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing industry networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, maintaining American Society for Quality certification, and/or participating in other professional associations.

Qualifications

  • College-Level Technical Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Electronics Technology; DEC (Diploma d ’Etude Collegial – College Diploma) or AEC bonified with more Experience (Attestation d ’Etude Collegial)
  • Proficiency in electronics or electronic product assembly with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills desired.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, repair, or electronics service environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through five (5) or more years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of inspection and quality inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts and general business operations.
  • Ability to use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience in maintaining and improving an ISO9001 System is desired.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, French & English, required.
