The person holding the position contributes to developing eco-energy automation solutions with our commercial, institutional, and industrial clients. In their daily work, they collaborate with the drafting team, estimator, and project manager. They support the drafters in the realization of workshop drawings and the selection of materials that will be used for the execution of the work by the field teams, programmers, and graphic designers. As responsible for the accuracy of the information presented in the documents, the person holding the position is called upon to interact with other project stakeholders such as the ventilation contractor, plumbing/heating and electrical engineer to propose effective and compatible control solutions with the equipment that will be provided and installed. Once the execution phase on the job site is launched, they remain involved in the project to follow the various changes and provide support as needed.

Description

  • Analyze plans and estimates;
  • Choose the instruments and components to be installed;
  • Work closely with drafters to produce an installation document for the field teams containing, among other things, a network architecture, control diagrams, and control sequences;
  • Design projects that comply with standards and specifications while ensuring that the budget is respected;
  • Produce certification drawings and documents gathering technical information to be submitted to the client/engineering firm;
  • Address issues through the production, submission, and follow-up of various QRTs;
  • Work jointly with project managers.

Requirements

  • Be authorized to work in Canada;
  • Be able to pass the required safety level;
  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, building engineering, or mechanical engineering;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience;
  • Have good knowledge of building mechanics;
  • Have good knowledge of the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Show resourcefulness, autonomy, and logic;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Show meticulousness and precision.
