The Opportunity

Explore limitless possibilities WSP Applied Solutions is seeking a Water Treatment and Environmental Rehabilitation Operations and Maintenance Technician to join its team based in Montreal.

As part of the O&M Systems team, the Water Treatment and Environmental Rehabilitation Operations and Maintenance Technician will be called upon to intervene on various water treatment and environmental rehabilitation projects to carry out tasks associated with the installation and operation and maintenance of different technologies and equipment used in rehabilitation and water treatment. They will also participate in the construction of mobile treatment units at WSP Applied Solutions' system assembly plant in Longueuil.

This work is primarily carried out in the Montreal region but may require regular travel to job sites, mainly in Quebec.

Your Impact

Comply with various work instructions and directives, protocols, and procedures derived from our health and safety, quality control systems, as well as company policies;

  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment at both the mechanical and project performance expectations levels;
  • Perform the operation and maintenance of water, air, and soil treatment equipment according to maintenance schedules;
  • Participate in the installation and fabrication of treatment equipment;
  • Provide support to other technicians as needed;
  • Perform varied manual work (plumbing, electro-mechanical, mechanical, instrumentation, calibration, etc.);
  • Sample raw or treated waters;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of operation and maintenance and system fabrication procedures;
  • Supervise subcontractors associated with operation and maintenance and system fabrication activities;
  • Participate in process optimization and cost reduction;
  • Collect and compile relevant technical data;
  • Complete follow-up sheets and write activity reports;

  • AEC or DEP in water treatment, electro-mechanical, or related field;
  • 3 to 7 years of experience;
  • Bilingualism is an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics as well as hydraulic and electrical systems;
  • Interest in automation and remote system control would be considered an asset;
  • Hold the ASP Construction certification for safety on construction sites;
  • Be autonomous, reliable, and organized, equally capable of working alone or in a team;
  • Have basic knowledge of Word and Excel software;
  • Hold a valid driver's license.

  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 - $88,400
  • MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800
  • NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
