THE CHALLENGES At the heart of the mandates of the City of Quebec, the Transport and Intelligent Mobility Service directly contributes to the mobility of people and goods by ensuring efficiency, safety, economy, and comfort in a sustainable development perspective. Within a multidisciplinary team rich in expertise formed by engineers, advisors, and transport and mobility specialists, you will actively contribute to the management and coordination of roadway obstructions and roadway occupations in the municipal road network. More specifically, the incumbent of the position: * Plan and implement effective solutions for roadway occupation; * Conduct traffic studies and analyses related to road obstructions or oversized transports and, if necessary, design traffic control plans for construction sites or events; * Develop mobility clauses for municipal works; * Prepare and validate traffic control plans for municipal works; * Collaborate with various municipal services and external partners to coordinate temporary roadway improvement projects; * Receive, process, and route, if necessary, complaints, requests, and information inquiries from citizens or other stakeholders regarding road obstructions and roadway occupation; * Present projects or files to superiors, elected officials, and citizens as needed. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR To be part of our team, you must: * Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering in an appropriate discipline, such as urban planning, civil engineering, or architecture (any other relevant training will be considered); * Have two years of relevant experience; * Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec; * Have very good knowledge of circulation and parking regulations; * Have very good knowledge of the city's territory and the main tools associated with the operation of transport networks; * Be aware of the norms, trends, and recent developments in the field; * Demonstrate essential skills in leadership, planning, and organization, communication, and decision-making; * Be able to detect the issues and risks associated with operational files and take action to maintain mobility and safety; * Be able to promote, through your actions and decisions, a partnership and a customer-oriented approach to internal and external publics; * Demonstrate an interest in participatory management focused on continuous improvement and results-based management, and experience in a Lean management approach are important assets.
