Telemarketing Specialist, Business Expansion

What is the job opportunity about?

RBC Dominion Securities is currently looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Telemarketing Specialist, Business Expansion. This person must enjoy social interactions and be able to build relationships. The position represents an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the asset management sector within a highly performing team. This opportunity is a one-year contract position with a full-time schedule.

What will your tasks be?

• Prospect clients randomly to schedule a financial review with an investment advisor
• Assist in retrieving key documents
• Participate in the proposal development process
• Develop business opportunity indicators and feed the sales pipeline through random prospecting calls and follow-up calls and emails
• Regularly update the investment advisor on sales indicators to clients
• Participate in the prospecting strategy using social media, marketing initiatives, and adding indicators to the team's bulletin database
• What do you need to succeed?

Requirements

• Ability to make proactive calls to present new services
• Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will serve a Francophone and Anglophone clientele
• Motivation to achieve goals while working in a dynamic and lively environment
• Outgoing personality and excellent interpersonal relationship skills
• Confidence and demonstrated ability to influence the outcome of a conversation
• Ability to handle rejections and stay positive
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them

Assets

• Experience in client communication by phone within a contact center/call center
• Experience in the sales domain
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
• University degree
• Understanding of entrepreneurs and business owners
