Junior Investment Advisor

What is the job opportunity about?

RBC Dominion Securities is currently looking for a Junior Investment Advisor to join a large portfolio management team specializing in providing wealth management services to an informed clientele. You will provide specialized support in the management of investments and funds to this team.

What will your tasks be?

• Perform operations and rebalance portfolios.
• Monitor client operations to ensure they have been settled and that deliveries have been made.
• Provide proactive customer service by targeting problem resolution and paying close attention to detail. Coordinate with various services as needed.
• Respond to client requests (account operations, tax receipt requests, account information, etc.).
• Assist the team of advisors in onboarding clients.
• Help manage communications received from clients, advisors, and other internal and external partners.
• Maintain client accounts and identify opportunities to contact the clientele: manage schedules and key dates associated with accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate updating of all necessary documents in accordance with internal control measures and regulatory requirements. Ensure that complete and up-to-date client files are maintained in the appropriate systems.
• What do you need to succeed?

Requirements

• Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
• Post-secondary diploma in finance or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the investment sector
• Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will serve a clientele and deal with colleagues and partners who are Francophone and Anglophone across Canada
• Solid practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Assets

• Level I (or higher) of the CFA program
• Passion for investments, analysis, and portfolio management
• Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
