Ensure maintenance and manage the use of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), mainframe computers and peripheral and computer workstation equipment and troubleshoot them

Test and install computer hardware, network software and operating system software

Provide network user services in response to problems encountered

Implement data security, software and hardware procedures

Perform routine startups and shutdowns and maintain control logs

Perform data backup and restore operations

Set up local area networks and Internet connections

Implement network traffic control and security software and optimize server performance

Search for metadata, apply it to websites and register it with search engines

Perform web server backup and restore operations
