Rental Agent

Community real estate leader, Bâtir son quartier is a social economy company that supports non-profit organizations, cooperatives, and municipal housing offices in the development of residential and non-residential community real estate projects. Since its creation in 1976, Bâtir son quartier has coordinated the realization of nearly 16,000 community housing units and 40 non-residential projects in the metropolitan region. The projects we support are located in Montreal, Longueuil, Laval, and the Laurentians. Under the authority of the project director, the incumbent is responsible for accompanying and supporting organizations (primarily cooperatives and OBNLs) in the rental of their community housing units. More specifically, he/she is in charge of developing rental and marketing strategies, accompanying and advising the selection committee in these tasks, ensuring the follow-up of the selection process, and preparing the entry into housing for members and tenants (visits, signing of leases, moves, etc.). Responsibilities of the position Support and follow-up

• Accompany the organization in the implementation of their rental strategy;
• Accompany the groups through the selection process of members (recruitment and interviews);
• Accompany and train the groups in the planning of the entry into housing steps for members and tenants (visits, signing of leases, moves, etc.);
• Evaluate the group's capacity to handle the situation and make recommendations;
• Act as an advisor to the members of the groups under his/her responsibility by providing answers to information requests and ensuring close follow-ups.

Planning, organization, and animation

• Plan, organize, and follow up on the marketing and rental of the housing units;
• Plan, organize, and follow up on the entry into housing for members and tenants (visits, signing of leases, moves, etc.);
• Ensure the logistical aspect of the entry into housing (reservation of rooms, audiovisual equipment, documentation, agendas, and invitations, etc.);
• Animate and organize meetings of the selection committee, if necessary;
• Animate and organize information sessions and open houses;
• Train members in simple logistical tasks of the selection and entry into housing process (visits, signing of leases, moves, etc.)
• Make interventions to foster group dynamics;
• Contribute to the updating of contents and tools adapted to the needs of the groups;

Profile

• Technical or university training in the field of administration, project management, office management, or any other relevant training;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in real estate management, animation, entrepreneurship development, OBNL support, or customer service;
• Knowledge and sensitivity to cooperative and community values;
• Knowledge of the community housing sector, social economy, housing law, and/or real estate management (asset);
• Excellent French oral and written communication, spoken English;
• Good knowledge of Office suite software;
• Availability in the evening is essential.
