The Roadside Account Service Agent will be responsible for providing national, regional, and local account service for East Penn Canada within the assigned territory. The selected candidate will also be responsible for providing customer training, as needed, to support business growth.
Please note that this is a non-salaried, commission-based position, entirely focused on account management. This role does not involve direct sales responsibility or sales targets.
East Penn Canada is seeking candidates with approximately 1 to 3 years of experience in road sales, merchandising, or a related field. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their career in customer relationship management within a collaborative and stimulating team environment.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Perform regular service visits to assigned clients (on the road for most of the workday).
- Deliver products to client sites and collect used or warranty claim products to return to East Penn Canada’s warehouse.
- Ensure that client merchandising (display cases, point-of-sale materials, and signage) is up-to-date and effectively showcases East Penn products.
- Maintain East Penn stock levels, including product model inventories, at clients such as retail stores and auto dealerships.
- Review daily inventory reports and reconcile them with actual stock levels.
- Regularly analyze client product assortments and recommend appropriate orders based on observed sales trends.
- Coordinate with client representatives to confirm the accuracy of delivered orders.
- Effectively perform battery inspections at client sites (comprehensive product training will be provided).
- Provide warranty support for all assigned accounts.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service or account management.
- Experience in the energy storage, automotive, or industrial manufacturing/distribution sectors is a significant asset.
- Excellent customer orientation and ability to develop and maintain lasting business relationships.
- Strong skills in planning, organization, and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French (bilingual French-English is an asset, but not mandatory).
- Self-sufficiency, ability to work with minimal supervision, and results-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Experience with a CRM system is an asset; experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Other Considerations and Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with no major driving violations, and availability to travel daily within the assigned territory.
- Good knowledge of Montreal and surrounding areas; the candidate must reside at a reasonable distance from East Penn’s Laval branch.
- Background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and employment references, will be required for selected candidates.
