We are looking for an experienced conventional machinist to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, modifying, and repairing mechanical parts using conventional lathes and milling machines, while adhering to drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing plans.
• Set up and adjust conventional lathes and milling machines.
• Machine parts from steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, plastic, and other materials.
• Select cutting tools and determine appropriate machining parameters.
• Check part dimensions using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, comparators, gauges, etc.).
• Perform repair, modification, and fabrication work on unique or small-batch parts.
• Ensure the quality of produced parts and maintain required tolerances.
• Participate in preventive equipment maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• DEP in machining techniques or equivalent experience.
• Experience in conventional lathe and milling machine machining.
• Good ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of materials and cutting tools.
• Autonomy, attention to detail, and concern for well-done work.
• Ability to work alone or in a team.
• Assets
• Experience in grinding, welding, or adjustment.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and repair processes.
• Experience in custom part fabrication.
