Alex Coulombe Ltd., a family-owned business established over 120 years ago, is looking for a new autonomous member to join its management team as a Warehouse Operations Supervisor. Under the supervision of the warehouse director and in collaboration with other supervisors, you will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse and manage the work teams. More specifically, your daily tasks will include:

• Supervise and coordinate activities related to receiving, shipping, loading, and preparing orders;
• Manage, supervise, and assign employees to various work stations according to operational priorities;
• Plan workforce needs and participate in the development of weekly schedules according to operational needs;
• Coordinate teamwork and ensure the implementation of procedures and changes in work methods;
• Ensure effective communication and constant collaboration with the operations management team;
• Participate in the recruitment, integration, and training of staff;
• Manage absences, leaves, holidays, and staff schedules;
• Ensure proper management of finished product inventories to meet customer needs;
• Actively participate in continuous process improvement and operational optimization;
• Contribute to various projects aimed at improving warehouse efficiency and performance;
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and their daily application;
• Ensure compliance with applicable company standards, procedures, and operations;
• Participate in any other tasks related to operations.

Here's what you need to excel in this role

• Hold a college diploma in a relevant field;
• Have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position;
• Demonstrate good computer skills;
• Have experience in team management (experience in a unionized environment considered an asset);
• Have experience in a manufacturing environment (asset);
• Demonstrate positive leadership and enjoy working in a team;
• Be autonomous and capable of taking initiatives;
• Have excellent organizational skills and demonstrate diligence.
