What will you contribute to the team?

• Perform mechanical design using CATIA V5 and oversee the production of detail and installation drawings for the work packages under your responsibility
• Interpret the necessary technical specifications related to the aerospace domain to develop solutions that meet the design requirements assigned to you
• Support production operations on Bombardier's multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 350/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500)
• Understand and resolve cell and system issues by providing technical support to the multi-site assembly line (QRO, Dorval, Toronto)
• Work closely with other disciplines such as constraints, materials and processes, systems, flight science, design, methods, quality, and operations to achieve the company's business objectives
• Participate in projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving financial performance
• Plan and meet project deadlines while adhering to allocated budgets
• Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to achieve results
• Work in collaboration with internal and external suppliers to support the manufacturing team as needed

How will you thrive in this role?

• You have a degree in mechanical engineering with 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
• You have good knowledge of the CATIA V5 design and modeling software
• You have good knowledge and experience in the design of aircraft structural/systems installations
• You have good experience in machined parts, sheet metal design, and fabrication
• You have a good sense of responsibility, practical and technical judgment, and are flexible
• You are dynamic, have good listening skills, and a strong interest in teamwork
• You have the ability to manage priorities
• You have the ability to work under pressure to meet design deadlines
• You are familiar with Microsoft Office software such as PowerPoint and Excel
• You have strong interpersonal and writing skills in English and French
• Knowledge of composite design and the Fibersim software is an asset
