What will you contribute to the team?

• Perform mechanical design using CATIA V5 and oversee the production of detail and installation drawings for the work packages under your responsibility.
• Interpret the necessary technical specifications related to the aerospace domain to develop solutions that meet the design requirements assigned to you.
• Support production operations on Bombardier's multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 350/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500).
• Understand and resolve cell and system issues by providing technical support to the multi-site assembly line (QRO, Dorval, Toronto).
• Work closely with other disciplines such as constraints, materials and processes, systems, flight science, design, methods, quality, and operations to achieve the company's business objectives.
• Participate in projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving financial performance.
• Plan and meet project deadlines while adhering to allocated budgets.
• Lead projects and support the development of colleagues.
• Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to achieve results.
• Work in collaboration with internal and external suppliers to support the manufacturing team as needed.
• Get involved in the practical realization of your designs by accompanying the manufacturing, assembly, and installation phases of your projects as a designer.

How will you thrive in this role?

• You have a degree in mechanical engineering with eight (8) years or more, or a diploma in mechanical engineering with twelve (12) years of experience in a similar position.
• You have excellent knowledge of the CATIA V5 design and modeling software.
• You have solid knowledge and experience in the design of aircraft structural/systems installations.
• You have solid experience in machined parts, sheet metal design, and fabrication.
• You have a keen sense of responsibility, good practical and technical judgment, and are flexible.
• You demonstrate dynamism, good listening skills, and a strong interest in teamwork.
• You have the ability to manage priorities.
• You have the ability to work under pressure to meet design deadlines.
• You are familiar with Microsoft Office software such as PowerPoint and Excel.
• You have excellent communication and writing skills in both English and French.
• Knowledge of composite design and the Fibersim software is an asset.
