For its Public Works Service, the City of Laval is looking for a:Mechanic for Vehicles and Equipment STATUS: Temporary JOB NUMBER: 4311 POSTING PERIOD: Indeterminate SALARY: Class 10 – $38.63 SCHEDULE: EVENING WORK LOCATION: G.V.E Operations, Public Works, 1499 Cunard Street Door 29, Laval H7S 2H8 (see map below)

The challenges you will face

Perform various mechanical repair work on all kinds of motorized vehicles, equipment, and devices.

The ideal profile for us

• Hold a professional studies diploma (DEP) in heavy vehicles, construction equipment, or automotive mechanics (with relevant experience on heavy vehicles), recognized by the Ministry of Education of Quebec);
• Hold a PEP (Preventive Maintenance Program) card issued by the Quebec Automobile Insurance Corporation);
• Possess an environmental qualification certificate, category H3 – vehicles;
• Skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs on all kinds of motorized equipment;
• Possess a Class 5 driver's license in accordance with the requirements of the Quebec Automobile Insurance Corporation;
• Possess two (2) years of relevant experience.
