What will you contribute to the team?

  • Represent the regulatory authority for the approval of new aircraft models, product improvement, and continuous product safety for Bombardier.
  • Work with the Airworthiness team and support them to ensure key leadership for maintaining safety, certification, and airworthiness.
  • Organize and lead the logistics of internal/external certification activities.
  • Provide advice and coordinate the closure of documents of authority « IP, CM, CRI, CAI ».
  • Ensure liaison and coordination of activities with government certification authorities and provide regulatory and strategic advice to other disciplines of Bombardier.
  • Collect and eliminate lessons learned with knowledge domains to implement in new product development projects.
  • Lead and coordinate the development of solutions for complex certification issues by leveraging Bombardier's transformation and engineering system (BES).
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and approximate work statements for technical studies and aircraft studies, considering multidisciplinary contributions.
  • The Strat Tech support team provides advice on certification.
  • Support the development of compliance means, including new or innovative regulatory interpretations.
  • Prepare/support company comments on proposal for modification (APM) notices.
  • Technical directives for the Program Review Committee, contract support, customer support, and corrective action (CARB).
  • Support the safety team in executing safety, reliability, and safety processes at the HVAC level.
  • Multidisciplinary alignment for triage, the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB), and aircraft on-ground (AOG) issues, as needed.
  • Work with Bombardier's leadership on the program change request (PCR) process, cycle times, and optimized solutions.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering and have 8 to 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with experience in airworthiness.
  • You have experience in aircraft airworthiness/certification with government authorities and certification regulations.
  • You possess developed skills related to project engineering and have a good understanding of aircraft features.
  • You have strong interpersonal and social skills.
  • You are organized/motivated and bilingual (French, English).
  • You have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), internet skills, knowledge of Documentum and eRoom.
  • You have a team spirit, work within a multidisciplinary team, and can demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • All BA behaviors related to execution and people management are assimilated and demonstrated continuously.
