We are looking for two engineers specializing in intelligent transport systems for the Intelligent Transport Section of the Operations and Intelligent Mobility Division of the Intelligent Transport and Mobility Service. THE CHALLENGES At the heart of the City of Quebec's mandates, the Intelligent Transport and Mobility Service develops and manages a set of secure, functional, and adapted mobility infrastructures for different living environments, allowing citizens to move according to their needs. Within the Intelligent Transport Section team, your role will primarily be to: * Plan, design, and follow up on projects related to intelligent transport systems (traffic lights, dynamic signage, traffic cameras, emergency vehicle preemption system, etc.); * Conduct studies and analyses of traffic or movement in connection with various real estate or road rehabilitation projects, in accordance with the vision and orientations of the City of Quebec; * Design traffic light synchronization plans, develop and simulate road network models, coordinate the implementation of various interventions for the realization of projects, and prepare various reports; * Receive, process, and route, if necessary, complaints, requests, and information requests from citizens or other stakeholders regarding intelligent transport systems; * Act as a representative of your service to communicate your traffic studies results and answer questions regarding movement issues raised during public information and consultation sessions with citizens; * Ensure compliance with the City's specific technical standards and procedures and methods of work related to your field of activity; * Ensure compliance with deadlines, identify technical issues, and propose solutions; * Perform any other mandate related to your field of expertise, as requested by your manager. Within the team directly reporting to the Service, your primary role will be to: * Plan, design, and follow up on projects related to intelligent transport systems (traffic lights, dynamic signage, cameras, emergency vehicle preemption) within the framework of the construction and operation of the tramway; * Contribute to the upgrading, integration, and deployment of the arterial manager, its interfaces, and the lighting systems; * Collaborate with internal teams, InfraCité, and its suppliers in the development and deployment of mobility and intelligent transport systems; * Conduct traffic or movement studies and analyses, develop road network models and simulations, and design traffic light synchronization plans; * Coordinate the implementation of interventions, ensure technical follow-up of work, participate in tests and commissioning, and produce the required reports; * Ensure compliance with the City's specific technical standards, procedures, and methods of work related to your field of activity; * Ensure compliance with deadlines, identify technical issues, and propose solutions; * Receive, analyze, and process complaints, requests, and information requests related to ITS, and recommend corrective measures; * Represent your service at technical meetings or public consultations and communicate the results of studies; * Perform any other mandate related to your field of expertise, as requested by your manager. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR To join our team, you must: * Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering in an appropriate discipline (any relevant training will be considered); * Have at least two (2) years of relevant experience in the transport field; * Be a candidate for the engineering profession (CPI) or be a regular member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec; * Have a great interest in knowing and developing the intelligent transport systems of your city; * Have good capacity to evolve in an advanced and dynamic technological environment, demonstrate a great capacity for adaptation to changes in priorities, and have a good spirit of collaboration and listening to accomplish stimulating mandates that will have direct effects on the daily life of the population; * Be able to communicate easily in front of a group and promote, through your actions and decisions, a customer-oriented approach; * Have other appropriate personal skills and qualities such as autonomy, analytical and synthetic thinking, political sense, and the ability to manage pressure and stress on a daily basis.
