We are hiring a Babybel Brand Manager for a period of 16 to 18 months, who will develop the annual marketing and sales strategy for the Canadian market, create key promotional activities, and ensure the growth of the brand in Canada in collaboration with the Senior Brand Manager.
Babybel is one of our core brands and is experiencing strong growth. This is evidenced by the opening of our dedicated Babybel plant in Sorel Tracy, Quebec in 2021 to support its growth in Canada. An ambitious and motivating challenge on which you will have a real contribution and local impact by working closely on multidisciplinary projects!
Main Responsibilities
The incumbent of this position will have the following responsibilities:
- Participates in the development of the brand strategy: builds and implements sales and marketing plans in collaboration with the senior brand manager;
- Ensures that actions align with the set objectives for the brand: ensures the positioning is respected across all facets of the marketing mix. Works to strengthen the equity of the brand in collaboration with the senior brand manager;
- Prepares campaign idea briefs for agencies for projects under their supervision;
- Establishes objectives and key performance indicators for marketing campaigns;
- Measures and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns and formulates recommendations accordingly;
- Oversees various stages of campaign launches/deployments, including all administrative processes;
- Oversees cross-functional projects on multidisciplinary projects, collaborating effectively with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, sales, finance, R&D, regulatory, consumer service, quality, industrial) and all partner agencies, both locally and globally.
- Responsible for extracting data to build the monthly dashboard by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales and tracking data for the brand and its consumers;
- Monitors competitive activities and provides an in-depth analysis of their actions and performance;
- Works with the senior brand manager on research projects;
- Responsible for tracking the brand's budget and reconciling it with the accounting department;
- Responsible for managing the brand's website
- Responsible for establishing the local social media strategy in collaboration with the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) team and the internal content creation studio.
Skills and Qualifications
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, marketing, or communication profile with 5-7 years of experience in brand/product management preferably in the food industry.
- Desired Skills:
- Demonstrates initiative to proactively raise concerns, propose courses of action, or seek additional support to advance the brand's agenda.
- Agility and autonomy
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
- Must have experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Good tolerance for stress and good work capacity;
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills. Nielsen or equivalent. Ability to translate data into insights and good strategic thinking capacity;
- Pushes boundaries to stimulate strong growth, including new and larger ways to engage consumers and stimulate creative thinking within internal and external teams;
- Is a change agent, easily adapts to a constantly evolving environment (emergence of AI, new tools, new ways of doing things) both internally and externally;
- Knowledge of the Canadian food market;
- Bilingual French and English.
