Project Assistant Manager - Urban Excavation (Infrastructure)

As a Project Assistant Manager within the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau, you will collaborate with the field team by coordinating project-related activities, at the heart of the Urban Excavation business unit. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will have the opportunity to solve various technical problems and maintain the necessary communications with the different stakeholders.

What you will do

• Assist and guide the project team in coordination and project support.
• Effectively examine, interpret, and update construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization to maintain, review, and track workshop drawings, information requests, material purchase orders, change order estimates, and project completion documents.
• Effectively gather, review, and analyze project estimates, with a focus on obtaining the best market prices.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection within the project framework. Effectively apply the project-specific safety requirements to promote Pomerleau's health, safety, and environmental protection standards, as well as applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and codes, to all project employees and business partners.
• Contribute to maintaining and establishing positive relationships with subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• This position is for you if you have
• At least three years of experience in the construction sector.
• University or college degree in engineering, or a combination of training and experience in the sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, construction codes, and associated legislation.
• Proven experience in project management and collaboration with teams.
• A passion for establishing and maintaining exceptional relationships with stakeholders.
