Intermediate Interior Designer

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an intermediate interior designer, passionate and experienced, who wishes to join our dynamic team and contribute to a variety of projects while bringing creative ideas.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

• SketchUp proficiency
• 5 years of experience or more
• Valid driver's license and car
• *To ensure a good balance with the job requirements (office presence, site visits or visits to certain suppliers), we prefer candidates located near the city of Laval.*

Design and Production

• Design projects using *SketchUp* and *Enscape*
• Develop cohesive, customized concepts aligned with clients' needs and preferences
• Prepare client presentation documents

Technical Document Production

• Produce technical drawings via *Layout* for project realization and RFQs/submissions
• Validate material selections
• Assist in plan verification to ensure accuracy and consistency

Budget and Administrative Tracking

• Participate in service estimation and answer client questions
• Ensure rigorous tracking of schedules, budgets, and priorities
• Analyze hours for billing preparation (an asset)

Team Support and Continuous Improvement

• Participate in internal management: project updates and analysis, process improvement, team support
• Observe operations and participate in constant company improvement

Order and Material Management (an asset)

• Make RFQs and bids
• Place and manage orders (including quantity calculation)
• Make occasional visits to suppliers (material pickup or return)
• Manage window coverings

Project Management and Coordination (an asset)

• Participate in client meetings to define needs
• Plan, structure, and follow up on projects at all stages
• Anticipate, analyze, and resolve project-related unexpected events
• Ensure smooth and structured follow-up with clients, collaborators, and suppliers, while coordinating different stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Make occasional site visits (progress and courtesy)

PROFILE REQUIRED

• DEC or BAC in interior design
• Proficiency in the following software: *SketchUp* (mandatory), *Layout*, *AutoCAD*, *Enscape* (an asset) and *Photoshop* (an asset)
• Intermediate or senior experience in design
• Developed creativity and sense of aesthetics
• Good understanding of technical feasibility and spatial logic in space configuration
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and take initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and sense of priorities
• Proficiency in spoken and written French
• Fluency in English (occasional exchanges with certain suppliers or partners)
• Valid driver's license and car
• Architecture training (an asset)

TO NOTE

• Although we want a smooth integration, certain responsibilities, particularly those related to client contact as well as more advanced administrative and logistical aspects, will be gradually assigned, alongside the mastery of our tools and work methods.
