Automation Specialist

In a context of continuous growth and innovation, we are looking for a passionate Automation Specialist with a keen interest in industrial systems and advanced technological environments.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation programs for machines assigned to projects and contracts.
• Prepare electrical schematics for automated equipment according to applicable standards.
• Participate, when required, in factory acceptance tests (FAT), customer installations, and service and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support to internal teams (engineering, production, after-sales service).
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of automation solutions and internal practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and Drive programming software, including:
• Allen-Bradley : RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME
• Siemens : TIA Portal
• Knowledge of Siemens Step7, GE, and Omron environments (asset).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial programmable logic controller programming and integration.
• Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of Spanish considered an asset.
• Experience or knowledge in industrial robot programming (FANUC, ABB) considered an asset.
• Knowledge of electrical design software, such as AutoCAD Electrical (asset).

However, knowledge of English and/or Spanish may be required for certain positions due to the nature of the functions and responsibilities associated with the role. Several of our employees are called upon to regularly communicate with clients, suppliers, partners, and contractors located outside of Quebec, including in the United States, Latin America, and other international markets.

These communications may include verbal and written communications, technical support, project follow-ups, meetings, customer visits, negotiations, or the use of technical documentation. In this context, English and/or Spanish may be necessary to ensure the smooth running of activities related to the position.

Thus, when required, this language requirement is directly related to the functions of the position and necessary for the proper functioning of the company in an international context.

Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $75,000 to $105,000 per year
