About the Position

We are seeking a mechanical engineering technician with strong experience in mechanical design and drawing, ready to play a key role in the daily operations of the workshop. The position combines design, mechanical drawing, and technical support for operations. The ability to design, draw, and produce mechanical drawings is the most important criterion for the position.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and draw mechanical parts and produce the necessary plans for their manufacture and modification
• Read and interpret schematics and apply industrial drawing standards
• Optimize workshop productivity, quality, and efficiency
• Participate in continuous improvement of work methods
• Desired Profile
• Strong experience in mechanical drawing (mastery of a CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent, industrial drawing standards, and ability to produce drawings) – essential criterion
• Reading and interpretation of schematics
• Solid experience in diesel mechanics applied to heavy vehicles and equipment
• Experience with heavy trucks, construction equipment, and machinery
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems (diagnosis, maintenance, repairs) – important asset
• Comfortable with computer tools – important asset
• Bilingual French/English (oral and written)

The candidate must present a complete portfolio of their achievements in mechanical drawing during the in-person interview.
