Laser Cutting Operator /Day

During the day: The laser operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of laser cutting machines to produce parts that meet specifications, quality standards, and established deadlines.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor laser cutting machines (CNC).
• Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Prepare the required materials for production (loading and unloading).
• Adjust machine parameters according to product specifications.
• Perform quality control checks on the produced parts (dimensions, tolerances, finish).
• Perform basic maintenance and report any equipment anomalies or breakdowns.
• Comply with health and safety regulations at work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to optimize production.

Job Requirements

• Experience as a laser operator or CNC machine operator (an asset).
• Ability to read plans and use measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, measuring tape).
• Knowledge of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel – an asset).
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Good time management and adherence to deadlines.
• Ability to lift weights according to safety standards.
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Compensation: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
