Senior Electromechanic

We are seeking a senior electromechanic with at least five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the reliability of our production equipment, resolving complex technical problems and supporting continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated-system failures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
• Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers, variable-frequency drives, sensors, motors and control systems.
• Participate in the installation, modification and commissioning of new equipment.
• Determine the root causes of recurring failures and implement sustainable solutions.
• Recommend and implement improvements to equipment safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with production, maintenance and management teams.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and spare-parts information.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience as an electromechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Diploma in Automated Systems Electromechanics, technical diploma in a related field or equivalent training.
• University degree in electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering, automation or a related discipline is a strong asset.
• Excellent diagnostic and complex problem-solving abilities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers, variable-frequency drives and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize urgent repairs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency in French; English is considered an asset.
