Electrician Assistant – Class B Recreational Vehicle Manufacturing

Prestige Group – Gala RV Department is a Quebec-based manufacturer of Class B recreational vehicles known for the quality of its products and its commitment to well-done work. To support our growth, we are looking for a motivated electrician assistant who wishes to evolve within a dynamic company and participate in the manufacture of high-end recreational vehicles.

As an electrician assistant, you will participate in the installation of electrical wiring and various electrical and electronic equipment in the living area of our recreational vehicles. You will work from assembly drawings and will be accompanied by your supervisor and experienced team members to acquire the necessary knowledge for your success.

This position is ideal for someone with a good foundation in electricity, experience in the construction or renovation field, or relevant training who wishes to develop their skills in a manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring according to established plans and work methods.
• Install and connect various equipment, including:
• Interior lighting;
• Refrigerator;
• Water heater;
• Solar panels;
• Batteries and charging systems;
• Pumps, fans, and other electrical components.
• Prepare and transport wiring to various locations in the vehicle.
• Assist in verifying the proper functioning of installations.
• Monitor vehicles on the production line to ensure that electrical assembly steps are performed correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient production.

Requirements

• Experience in electricity, construction, renovation, or a related field (an asset).
• Training in electricity or electromechanics (an asset).
• Good manual skills.
• Ability to use commonly employed tools for electrical and assembly work.
• Interest in manual work and learning.
• Ability to follow plans and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Punctuality, autonomy, and sense of responsibility.
• Good team spirit.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Stable schedule:
• Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM
• Up to 3 weeks of vacation per year.
