MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE
The Senior Marketing Manager, French Language, Quebec and Francophone Canada, leads the strategy and implementation of French-language marketing initiatives, ensuring effective and culturally relevant campaigns for the Quebec public. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing integrated advertising campaigns across digital and traditional channels, whether original French-language campaigns or French adaptations, from initial strategy to performance tracking and optimization, in close collaboration with the Director, Advertising.
You will hold the position of Senior Marketing Manager for Francophone Marketing and ensure that all communications align with the brand's strategy, tone, and positioning, and resonate with the Francophone public. This includes overseeing the review and approval of French-language content, as well as continuous improvement of quality and processes.
As a manager, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a Marketing Specialist, while working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies. You will provide strategic advice, align team efforts around common goals, and contribute to identifying opportunities to strengthen the organization's impact on Quebec and Francophone Canadian publics.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead advertising strategy, implementation, and performance evaluation in Quebec
- Lead the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated advertising campaigns focused on Quebec and in French, to support fundraising, mission, and brand image priorities.
- Translate business objectives into data-driven advertising strategies tailored to Quebec publics, ensuring cultural relevance and effectiveness.
- Develop and lead creative and media briefs, manage briefing processes with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Lead the adaptation of national campaigns into French to ensure relevance for Quebec publics.
- Oversee campaign implementation across all traditional and digital channels, including television, connected TV (CTV), paid social media, web, radio, print, and outdoor advertising.
- Manage agency relationships, budgets, schedules, and production processes.
- In collaboration with the Performance Marketing and Analytics team, evaluate campaign results, ROI, and optimization opportunities, and provide concrete recommendations.
- Identify and promote French-language advertising and marketing opportunities that align with the SCC's strategic priorities, collaborating closely with the Director, Advertising, to ensure Quebec and Francophone Canadian publics are considered from the outset of campaign planning, beyond simple adaptation.
- Collaborate with the Performance Marketing, Data, and Analytics, and Digital Services teams to highlight Francophone market-specific data and insights, and translate these findings into concrete recommendations that guide campaign strategy and audience targeting in Quebec and Francophone Canada.
- Coordinate brand management and French-language marketing analysis
- Serve as the brand guardian for Francophone Canada, ensuring all marketing communications align with the SCC's brand strategy, tone, and positioning.
- Review and approve translated marketing materials (e.g., emails, newsletters, promotional materials, etc.) to ensure they adhere to the brand's tone and communication strategy, are clear and effective for the Francophone public, and account for Quebec's cultural specificity.
- Work closely with the French-language translation, communications, and digital content teams to continuously improve processes and the quality of French-language productions.
- Identify risks or gaps in messaging and proactively propose improvements.
- Lead team management, stakeholder engagement, and provide strategic advice
- Manage and supervise a direct subordinate (Marketing Specialist).
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing marketing and advertising advice.
- Collaborate across teams responsible for branding, communications, fundraising, mission, and digital services to align priorities.
- Raise issues by proposing clear recommendations and solutions, demonstrating a keen sense of responsibility and critical thinking.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a specialization in marketing or equivalent professional experience.
- More than 5 years of professional experience in a similar field, in increasingly responsible positions.
- Strong experience in the development, management, and implementation of advertising campaigns across all channels, from brief definition to post-campaign reporting and analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including daily agency management.
- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and excellent project and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Deep understanding of brand strategy and creative development.
- Experience in reviewing and refining marketing and communications materials in French.
- Experience working in an interfunctional environment within a national organization.
- Up-to-date knowledge and keen interest in social media and online sources, as well as the ability to stay informed about trends in traditional and digital media and the marketing field.
- Practical experience with digital advertising tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Meta Ads, an asset.
- Highly autonomous; capable of identifying issues and proposing proactive solutions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Ability to effectively interact with senior management and keep the manager informed about project progress and priorities, as well as proactively flagging risks and challenges.
- Excellent sense of evaluation and ability to balance priorities.
