Production Controller

Location: [Montreal, QC

Schedule: Day shift and evening shift

Employment Type: Full-time/Permanent

For security reasons, the candidate must be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen and have lived in Canada for the past 5 years.

Your main responsibilities

  • Release production orders according to the established schedule.
  • Coordinate production priorities and track kits during production meetings.
  • Ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and documentation to meet production deadlines.
  • Collaborate with program, supply, and operations teams to quickly resolve shortages and production issues.
  • Prioritize activities in different work centers and ensure production targets are met.
  • Perform transactions in the ERP system while ensuring their accuracy.
  • Track non-conformities (NCR), MRB revisions, and affected materials and assemblies.
  • Ensure the closure of production orders in the ERP system.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
  • Desired profile
  • DEC in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or planning environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Good understanding of product nomenclatures (BOM), production planning concepts, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Sense of urgency, autonomy, and team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various stakeholders.
  • Customer orientation, both towards internal and external clients.
  • High level of rigor in handling data and documentation.
  • Flexibility to support different shifts as needed.

Shift: Evening shift and day shift

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Controller to join our manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and expedite workflow and material to production, for work centers of low criticality level, and receive specific assignments with periodic supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Release production orders as per schedule.
  • Prioritize kits and update the status for production meetings.
  • Track & Expedite Readiness and shortages with program and operation teams (material, equipment, and documentation) and rationalize timing of launch to production. Internally expedite shortages to ensure the AI&T plan is respected.
  • Follow-up on activities in different work centers of a lower criticality and provide priorities.
  • Ensure transactions are organized and reflect activities.
  • Follow-up of NCR, MRB on material and assemblies.
  • Ensure completion of production order in ERP.

Requirements

  • DEC in a related field of study. A combination of other relevant experiences/education could be considered. Experience: 0-2 years of experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Office suite.
  • Good understanding of product nomenclature, planning concepts, and an ERP system. Sense of ... and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment and responsibility.
  • Good analysis and communication techniques. Must be able to interact effectively.
  • Customer orientation (internal and external).
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Ability to process detailed documentation and data accurately.
  • May be called upon to support different shifts.
