The person holding this position at the Health Network Fund is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, developing, and maintaining business relationships with a clientele primarily composed of small and medium-sized enterprises in the health sector, with a particular focus on dental clinics and veterinary practices. Through a proactive approach to representation and advice, they identify business opportunities, promote products and services, and contribute to the organization's growth objectives. Leveraging their strong technical skills and high political acumen, they represent, negotiate, and engage the company in strategic agreements that have significant impacts on the Desjardins Health Network Fund. They ensure consistency and balance between sales objectives, prudent risk management, portfolio profitability, and member and client and partner satisfaction. They also assume a leadership and influence role with various stakeholders and, if applicable, act as an expert support to unit members. More specifically, you will be tasked with:

  • Developing new business primarily with a clientele of member or non-member companies through networking, prospecting, and solicitation activities. Focus mainly on the development and growth of clients in the dental and veterinary medicine sectors, as well as health professionals.
  • Developing a commercial and industrial clientele primarily composed of small and medium-sized enterprises in the health sector.
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships within the dental and veterinary sectors, collaborating closely with accountants, lawyers, representatives, advisory firms, and other key industry players.
  • Establishing and maintaining personalized business relationships with current and potential member companies and advising them on how to achieve their financial objectives.
  • Performing appropriate financial analyses in conjunction with the dedicated support resources at Desjardins Business Centre (DBC) and proposing innovative and competitive financing solutions to larger enterprises in targeted commercial and industrial sectors within the health network.
  • Assigning financing to the clientele under their responsibility and monitoring it in accordance with the applicable standards and practices, in collaboration and follow-up with the DBC.
  • Providing a comprehensive service offering to a targeted clientele and subsequently referring them to the financial planners' team at the concerned fund, or jointly with them to a subsidiary for service delivery.
  • Contributing to the achievement of the fund's business objectives by developing and implementing strategies that promote the growth of financing activities for businesses, savings, financial protection, and services for individual clients.
  • Contributing to the fund's visibility by participating in promotional activities, sector-specific conferences, and events. Maintaining a strong presence in the health industry to develop contacts, strengthen partnerships, and support business growth.
  • Being attentive to the needs of members and clients to ensure their complete satisfaction, seize business opportunities, and, if necessary, refer them to the people best suited to meet their expectations.
  • Complying with the policies, practices, and standards in place as well as the laws governing the distribution of financial products and services.
  • Ensuring prudent and sound risk management for the entire portfolio under their responsibility.

What you will bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French required
  • Availability for travel across the entire province of Quebec
