Production Support Technician

Under the supervision of the Group Leader, you will play a support role on test benches and products, particularly for support requests coming from our service centers. The technician may also be called upon to support the Quebec plant as needed. To this end, the production support technician develops a deep understanding of the product lines under their responsibility.

Your Role

• Respond to support requests coming from service centers in Quebec, Houston, UK, and our certified service centers;
• Prioritize and manage requests using the existing management tools;
• Work collaboratively with technical support to resolve issues;
• Act as a trainer to make local support teams more autonomous;
• Analyze the causes of returns in collaboration with PSLs;
• Initiate and participate in manufacturing stoppage situations as needed;
• Prepare and write synthesis reports of observations;

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of optics and electronics (asset)
• Knowledge of the Windows/Microsoft Office and Teststand environment (asset),
• Knowledge of EXFO products and software environments

Requirements

• Relevant Experience:
• 2 years of experience

Language Requirements

• Good oral and written communication (French)
• Functional English (most communications are written)

Education

DEC or AEC in physical technology or any other relevant experience or education.
