Required Qualifications
Hold a College Diploma (DEC) with an appropriate specialization, such as agricultural business management, or a diploma or certificate of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority. However, exceptionally, relevant years of experience may be accepted as equivalence in cases of lower education levels.
Other Requirements
- Considerable experience in greenhouse and field vegetable farming.
- Experience in group animation.
- Strong interest in knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in manual tasks and the use of agricultural and technological equipment.
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, team spirit, and initiative.
- Ability to use information technology.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist teaching staff and students in preparing, presenting, supervising, and evaluating laboratory and workshop practical work. Additionally, they may be called upon to perform tasks such as a lab assistant or demonstrator.
- Ensure that students follow safety rules during practical work, use equipment appropriately, and apply suitable techniques.
- Monitor and provide necessary care for transplants intended for greenhouse and garden production in collaboration with teachers and students.
- Prepare and participate in laboratories with students.
- Perform phytoprotection and fertilization operations.
- Ensure the good condition of equipment and actively participate in cleaning the premises.
- Possessing a pesticide application certificate is an asset.
- Participate in the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of greenhouse and field crops.
- Maintain quality relationships with partners.
- Be responsible for an extracurricular activity to transform and prepare healthy snacks with students.
- Perform any other related tasks as needed.
