Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Work Location: Mostly in a mechanical workshop. Travel to job sites or on the road is required.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience, starting at $33/hour.

Main Responsibilities:

The heavy equipment mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the company's equipment. Specifically, they will:

1. Diagnosis and Repair

• Identify anomalies and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic failures using computerized tools and technical manuals.
• Restore, repair, adjust, or replace defective parts.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Follow maintenance programs, perform routine inspections, and scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Perform basic welding work or piece adjustments to reinforce or repair equipment structures.

3. Inventory and Tracking

• Complete inspection reports, purchase orders for parts, and document completed work.
• Collaborate on managing spare parts needed for routine repairs.
• Keep the workspace clean and safe.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in heavy vehicle or construction equipment mechanics.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with heavy equipment.
• Vigilance in health and safety at work.
• Ability to quickly solve complex problems.
• Good physical condition, ability to work in uncomfortable positions, lift heavy loads, and work outdoors in adverse weather.
• Respectful of health and safety regulations.
• Salary: Starting at $33.00 per hour
