Assistant Aquatic Activities Manager

The Centre-Sud Community and Sports Association (ASCCS) is a non-profit autonomous organization whose mission is to serve the Centre-Sud neighborhood of Montreal and the surrounding areas through community, sports, cultural, recreational, educational, and environmental activities.

Under the immediate supervision of the Aquatic Activities Manager, the incumbent will manage all activities related to the aquatic sector, including water body supervision, course and activity scheduling, aquatic equipment and material management, staff management, and water quality management.
Main Responsibilities
Activity Management
- Plan, organize, and evaluate aquatic sector activities;
- Collaborate with other ASCCS activity sectors to provide customer service that meets needs;
- Communicate with members;
- Develop and implement specific programs for different target audiences;
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the proper functioning of the aquatic sector;
- Perform all tasks deemed essential for the smooth running of activities.
Staff Management (in collaboration with the Aquatic Manager)
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff necessary for activity implementation;
- Foster team spirit;
- Manage employee schedules and replacements;
- Ensure staff hygiene, health, and safety.
Equipment, Facilities, and Equipment Management
- Participate in the development of equipment, product, and material needs;
- Control and maintain equipment and facilities regularly;
- Apply guidelines governing the water quality of a public pool.
Desired Profile
- Diploma in leisure intervention and management techniques, management, physical education, or any other relevant discipline;
- Current National Lifeguard and Aquatic Safety Monitor certification;
- 1 year of experience in aquatic team and program management;
- Proficiency in French, both oral and written.

Working Conditions
- Workplace: Yvon Deschamps Centre, at the intersection of Ontario Street and Visitation Street;
- Status: Part-time (25 hours);
- Salary starting at $24.46/hour, to be determined based on experience.
