In the context of your role, you will be responsible for managing and administering construction sites.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

GENERAL MANAGEMENT

  • Planning and establishing project schedules;
  • Tracking project progress and adhering to the established schedule;
  • Analyzing bids and estimating the quantities of materials and equipment required for construction sites;
  • Analyzing, recommending, negotiating, and awarding contracts to suppliers and subcontractors;
  • Managing costs and adhering to established budgets;
  • Coordinating the various stakeholders of the project (site supervisors, professionals, suppliers, and subcontractors);
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings with clients (project progress reports, budget reports, and adherence to functional and technical requirements);
  • Organizing and facilitating site meetings and meetings with professionals and other project stakeholders;
  • Ensuring the acquisition of compliance certificates and progress, completion, and end-of-work certificates from professionals;
  • Ensuring the final delivery of projects, including system commissioning and defect corrections.

PROBLEM AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

  • Assessing potential problems and conflicts during site execution and being proactive in their resolution;
  • Managing administrative issues that may affect the smooth running of sites;

QUALITY AND TECHNICAL CONTROL

  • Ensuring adherence to plans and estimates;
  • Supervising the monitoring and control of work quality on site;
  • Preventing and resolving potential technical conflicts related to project design that may affect site execution;

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Reporting and tracking projects to the Management;
  • Approving invoices related to projects;
  • Approving disbursement requests before presenting them to creditors and clients/partners;
  • Documenting changes and the evolution of work;

YOUR SKILLS

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management, or any other relevant qualification;
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in managing construction projects (commercial, institutional, or mixed);
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and tracking skills;
  • Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills;
  • Rigor, autonomy, and a constant concern for quality and results;
  • Good understanding of health and safety standards (CNESST, SIMDUT);
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation;
  • Ability to negotiate, anticipate, and maintain good relationships with subcontractors and partners;
  • Proficiency with digital tools and Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.);
  • Positive attitude, sense of responsibility, and commitment to collective success.
