Mandate

Vaccination Campaign, Welcome Student Nurses!

Health Quebec Laval is looking for Student Nurses - DEC completed, for its Fall Vaccination Campaign, for a temporary mandate.

Local Service Points (LSPs) allow for proximity access to care and prevention services for the population, such as vaccination, screening, and biological sample collection services. They contribute to improving the accessibility of punctual health services, particularly through proximity and accessibility strategies. The services offered are flexible and vary according to the needs of the local population. Therefore, the mandate could extend beyond the vaccination campaign.

You will be supported by a clinical and administrative team (care advisor, immediate superior assistants, administrative technicians, administrative agents, etc.) for the provision of all services and activities, including:

• Annual vaccination against COVID-19, influenza, pneumococcus, zona, VRS, etc. (in LSPs and mobile). Our mission is to offer and coordinate accessible, quality, and population-specific care and services. Therefore, we will also serve the elderly at-risk population, offering home care services, in CHSLDs, and in RPAs;
• Vaccination as per the Quebec Immunization Program (QIP);
• Screening services in LSPs: COVID-19, influenza, group A streptococcus, colorectal cancer, etc.;
• Blood draws and biological sample collections in LSPs;
• Any other emerging services in LSPs (chronic disease screening, ITSS, etc.).

• *This temporary need is also accessible to individuals meeting one of the following criteria:*
• *Holding a teaching load at a recognized educational institution;*
• *Being aged fifty-five (55) years or older;*
• *Being retired*

Requirements

• Must be a member of the Order of Nurses and Nurses of Quebec;

Must be pursuing full-time studies in Nursing at a recognized educational institution.

Desired availability: Days are 7.5 hours; the schedule is daytime, but may sometimes be on a day/night rotation; ideally, be available one weekend every two weeks.
