Animal Health Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Examine and treat sick animals, deworm, antiparasitic, vaccines, etc.;
• Assist veterinarians during surgeries and complete examinations;
• Prepare treatments, surgery rooms, and animals for pre-operative care;
• Maintain up-to-date records of residents (health records and database);
• Inform and welcome clients for veterinary department follow-ups and appointments, as well as for foster families;
• Conduct behavioral evaluations of animals for the adoption process;
• Assist in maintaining the living environment of our residents.

Requirements and Assets

• Completed DEC in Animal Health Techniques (required);
• Experience in a veterinary establishment (asset);
• Experience in a shelter (asset);
• Experience working with animals (asset).

Conditions
