Sainte-Justine University Health Centre is currently seeking a Deputy Director or Deputy Director of Multidisciplinary Services, Mental Health and Neurodevelopment to join the management team at the Direction of Multidisciplinary Health and Social Services, Mental Health and Rehabilitation. Your Role

Under the authority of the Director of Multidisciplinary Health and Social Services, Mental Health and Rehabilitation, the Deputy Director or Deputy Director of Multidisciplinary Services, Mental Health and Neurodevelopment exercises a strategic and tactical role with the sectors under their responsibility.

They are responsible for overseeing and developing programs and services related to the mental health inpatient and outpatient platform, neurodevelopment trajectories, audiology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, clinical nutrition, special education, psychoeducation, physical therapy, psychology, volunteers, social services, and spiritual care. Depending on governance, they may also have a clinical-administrative coordinator for neurodevelopment, mental health, and psychosocial trajectories under their responsibility, who contributes to the alignment, fluidity, and coherence of these trajectories. In a perspective of continuity, coherence, and transversality of services, they work closely with the Deputy Director of Rehabilitation to ensure the alignment of trajectories, the sharing of expertise, and the complementarity of actions for the benefit of children, adolescents, and their families.

Through their mobilizing leadership, the position supports the provision of relevant, safe, accessible, and high-performance care and services across all care and service trajectories of the institution. It contributes to the development of professional practice, promotes interdisciplinary approaches, and supports the achievement of clinical, academic, and organizational objectives of the direction.

Responsible for the overall performance of their areas of activity, the position ensures the quality, safety, accessibility of services, user experience, human resource management, achievement of financial targets, and organizational efficiency.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Exercise strategic, mobilizing, and compassionate leadership with managers and teams under their responsibility, fostering engagement, collaboration, accountability, and trust.
  • Contribute to the definition, updating, and implementation of the strategic orientations of the Direction of Multidisciplinary Health and Social Services, Mental Health and Rehabilitation, in line with the mission, clinical project, establishment plan, and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure the planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical, professional, and administrative activities of the sectors under their responsibility.
  • Ensure the accessibility, continuity, quality, safety, relevance, and efficiency of care and services offered to children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Support service heads and the clinical-administrative coordinator in daily management, activity prioritization, goal achievement, and continuous improvement of trajectories.
  • Foster the development of multidisciplinary professional practices, interdisciplinarity, innovation, knowledge transfer, and the evolution of care and service models.
  • Use performance data, quality indicators, and tracking mechanisms to support decision-making, identify gaps, and implement required improvement measures.
  • Ensure rigorous and responsible management of human, financial, material, and information resources, in line with organizational targets and service needs.
  • Contribute to the professional development of managers and teams, through mentoring, recognition, mobilization, and support for skill development.
  • Develop and maintain internal, regional, supranational, and university partnerships that promote service continuity, expertise sharing, and the direction's visibility.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree in a health profession or a relevant discipline for the responsibilities of the position.
  • Be a member in good standing of their professional order, if required, and be eligible for the multidisciplinary council, if applicable.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in the health or social services sector.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in management, including significant experience in team, project, resource, and practice transformation management.

  • Employment Conditions:

Full-time permanent senior management position. Salary class 43 (minimum: $124,547 – maximum: $161,911).
