The Training Service offers its advisors varied and stimulating mandates, such as designing in-class and online courses, developing and updating the content of training programs for future entrepreneurs (obtaining an RBQ license), and developing online training (e-learning type). Training advisors work closely with experts and trainers to ensure the smooth running of projects and courses. They can count on the support of a seasoned coordination team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify training needs, project opportunities, and determine appropriate training strategies for the context and target audience
• Ensure the design and updating of technical courses (e.g., Building Code, Building Science, etc.)
• Manage the progress of design projects and mandates assigned to suppliers
• Formulate educational objectives, write the pedagogical scenario, training content, and assessments
• Design and update the content of training programs for obtaining an RBQ license (long term)
• Accompany suppliers and external resources (content experts) to enable the development of training
• Develop and deliver technical online training (synchronous and asynchronous)
• Collaborate with internal departments and partners (ACQ affiliates, RBQ, CCQ, CPMT, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

• Professional Technologist in Architecture and Building Science
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations in construction
• Skills in pedagogy, andragogy, educational technology
• 5 years of relevant experience in training design and adult teaching
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office365 tools
• Proficiency in an authoring software (Captivate, Articulate, or other) for developing asynchronous online training (asset)
• Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) (asset)
• Proficiency in French (spoken and written)
