• The position in detail…
• More specifically, the holder of this position is responsible for:
• Consulting the current circular to adequately answer customers' questions;
• Welcoming customers and answering their phone calls or referring them as needed, in a courteous and attentive manner;
• Recording purchases on the electronic cash register, receiving payments, giving change and the receipt in person, and putting the items in a bag;
• Communicating to the immediate supervisor the comments and suggestions from the customer, missing products, and pricing errors;
• Asking for help at the cash register during peak periods;
• Providing information on how to use the free photo kiosk, promotions, complementary products, and photo center services. Following up on unclaimed orders;
• Assisting customers with the photocopy and fax service (if applicable);
• Taking passport photos (if applicable);
• Intercepting the customer who triggers the anti-theft system at the exit;
• Operating the Loto-Québec terminal, selling public transportation tickets, calling cards, and stamps (if applicable);
• Issuing deferred purchase vouchers according to established guidelines;
• Making cash deposits and ordering money, and filling out a cash register report;
• Calculating the amounts collected (cash from the cash drawer, credit and debit cards, discount vouchers) at the end of each shift. Reconciling with the total sales figure. Inventory lottery tickets and stamps;
• Ensuring that the necessary supplies for the proper functioning of the service are available in sufficient quantity;
• Displaying the products from the counter-cash zone according to established standards and rotating the products by checking the expiration dates;
• Constantly monitoring to prevent theft and communicating any attempt to the immediate supervisor;
• Ensuring the cleaning of the shelves, products, and counter-cash;
• Removing outdated or damaged circulars;
• Respecting health and safety rules at work;
• Participating in the training and integration of new employees;
• Performing all other related tasks.

Do you have the profile?

• Hold a high school diploma (D.E.S.);
• Have experience in customer service or with an electronic cash register system;
• Be available according to the established schedule;
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Be customer-oriented, possess excellent rigor and excellent mathematical abilities;
• Demonstrate integrity, team spirit, and collaboration;
• Good sense of autonomy.
