Building Maintenance Technician

Main Functions

The Building Maintenance Technician ensures general, preventive, and corrective maintenance of facilities to guarantee their proper functioning, safety, and quality. They actively contribute to providing a secure, functional, and standards-compliant environment for a luxury hotel establishment.

On a daily basis, the Building Maintenance Technician at Le Capitole must:

• Perform general building maintenance tasks (basic plumbing, minor electrical work, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Conduct regular inspections of installations and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Respond to repair requests reported by various departments within appropriate timeframes.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical systems, and equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain technical spaces, workshops, and work areas clean and safe.
• Coordinate with external suppliers as needed for specialized work.
• Keep maintenance records and intervention reports up to date.
• Adhere to health, safety, and accident prevention standards.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of installations and maintenance processes.
• To effectively serve our clientele, our Building Maintenance Technician must have:
• Education: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in general building maintenance, building mechanics, or a related field (an asset).
• Experience: Relevant experience in building maintenance, ideally in the hospitality industry or a high-end environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Physical Condition: Good physical capacity to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work standing for long periods.
• Availability: Flexibility required to work variable hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
