Daycare Service Technician
Full-time position of 35 hours per week

Role
Your role involves designing the daycare service activity program and supervising it. You will contribute, within the framework of the school's educational project, to the overall development of students, taking into account their interests, needs, and regulations. You will ensure the well-being of students while promoting their health and safety.
You will also perform technical tasks related to the operation of the daycare service, particularly concerning the management of financial, human, and material resources. You will also be called upon to perform technical tasks in the field of human resources in a school setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate, with the school's administration, in the planning, development of the activity program, and evaluation of the daycare service's achievements, taking into account the school's educational project and ensure its implementation;
- Organize special activities, particularly during pedagogical days;
- Exercise some or all of the duties of a school-based educator;
- Develop the rules of operation for the daycare service and the procedures for registration, attendance, student reception, and accompaniment until departure with the parent, in collaboration with the administration;
- Control and process the admission and registration of students in the daycare service and the surveillance service;
- Prepare and conduct information meetings for parents regarding the organization and operation of the daycare service and the surveillance service;
- Inform parents and students about the established rules;
- Control student attendance reports, enter relevant data into the appropriate software, and produce various reports and statistics;
- Record information provided by the educator regarding student behavior;
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and various measures applicable to a daycare service, particularly in terms of hygiene, safety, prevention, cleanliness of equipment and facilities, as well as the conservation and distribution of medications;
- Ensure communication between the daycare service and the surveillance service with the school administration, parents, school-based educators, main class educators, surveillance personnel, center service school staff, and external organizations;
- Address complaints or forward them to the concerned administration;
- Assist the school administration in establishing budgetary forecasts by preparing and analyzing the necessary data to estimate revenues from registrations, subsidies, allocations, and various operating expenses;
- Perform billing, collection, and recovery of amounts due;
- Process receipts, various payments, maintain a petty cash, and make deposits;
- Prepare various reports, official records, financial statements, and reconcile accounts;
- Monitor the daycare service and surveillance service budget and control expenses;
- Fill out various forms and application requests for allocations and subsidies and provide information on budget balances;
- Participate in establishing personnel needs based on student registration forecasts, determining work schedules, and preparing a calendar for the holidays of school-based educators, main class educators, and surveillance personnel;
- Collaborate in developing and maintaining harmonious relationships within the school-based educators, main class educators, and surveillance personnel;
- Prepare and conduct coordination meetings for the daycare service and the surveillance service;
- Assign certain tasks and, with your team members, evaluate the service provided;
- Maintain the attendance register for school-based educators, main class educators, and surveillance personnel and verify the hours worked;
- Perform the necessary steps for replacing absent personnel, taking into account the applicable rules;
- Participate in the physical and material organization of the daycare service and the surveillance service;
- Maintain the inventory of equipment or materials and order or purchase equipment, materials, or services;
- Discuss prices with caterers and submit them to parents;
- Use a computer and various software necessary for performing your tasks;
- Keep various records up to date and conduct research;
- Initiate the work of less experienced technicians and coordinate and supervise the work of educators and, if necessary, other support staff in the tasks they perform in relation to the implementation of technical operation programs;
- Perform any other related tasks.
- Required Qualifications
Education
Hold a college diploma in child education techniques or be in possession of a diploma or certificate whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
Other Requirement
Hold a document dated no more than three (3) years, attesting to the successful completion:
- either an eight (8) hour general first aid course;
- or a six (6) hour refresher course aimed at updating the knowledge acquired in the course mentioned in the previous paragraph.
