Health Québec Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal - Universitaire is currently looking for food service attendants to fill permanent part-time day and evening positions at the new facility: Denis-Benjamin-Viger Senior's House.
The Denis-Benjamin-Viger Senior's House will accommodate 192 elderly individuals with significant loss of autonomy, with approximately 80% presenting major neurocognitive disorders. The House will offer a human-scale living environment, where it is pleasant to live, resembling a home, at the heart of the relationships between residents, their families, caregivers, staff, and the community.

Your mission will be to ensure the service and distribution of meals, clean the kitchen, do the dishes, and unload food from trucks and bring it to the freezer.

Schedule: Monday to Friday and one weekend every two weeks, according to a variable schedule from 07:30 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:30, or 11:00 to 19:30.
Daily Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the design of menus: prepare, season, cook, proportion, and freeze food;
- Unload food from trucks and bring it to the freezer;
- Ensure the quality and optimal use of food;
- Participate in food procurement, management, and maintenance of your work area;
- Receive, check, store, and collaborate in the inventory of food items;
- Respond to food orders from units (specific requests, lunch boxes, etc.);
- Perform washing and disinfection of trays and equipment;
- Comply with workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards;
- Participate in the distribution of meals on carts;
- May be assigned to the service or cashier of a cafeteria;
- As part of our university and academic mission, you may be asked to supervise students or interns;
- Any other related tasks.
Qualified Candidate
- Able to work in a team;
- Demonstrate dynamism, punctuality, and reliability;
- Communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing;
- Have satisfactory physical condition to meet the job requirements: standing, walking; bending, extending, frequent lifting of light and heavy weights;
- Have experience in the food service industry (an asset);
- Hold a valid driver's license (an asset).
