Reporting to the members of the Board of Directors (C.A.), the Head Coach is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the CNC Swimming Club's operations, training sessions, coaches, and equipment, with a focus on healthy collaboration and adherence to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Training ● Technical and Pedagogical Management: Planning, conducting, and tracking the progress of swimmers.
● Team Leadership: Recruitment (with the C.A.), team animation, training, and supervision of the coaching staff.
● Representation: Point of contact for athletes and parents, as well as the Quebec Swimming Federation.
Competitions ● Organization and Registration: Establishing the annual calendar and managing registrations.
● Supervision and Support: Presence at competitions (or delegation), continuous coaching of athletes (including travel and accommodation).
● Compliance: Strict adherence to ethical rules, policies, and directives of the C.A.
Administration ● Strategic and Financial Management: Collaboration with the C.A. for club development, material management, and fundraising/partnerships. Participation in budget preparation and tracking, and approval of invoices and expenses.
● Communication and Institutional Presence: Ensuring effective communication with swimmers and parents, participation in C.A., QSF, and regional meetings.
The Profile We Are Looking For
You are an inspiring leader with a strong background in swimming and a keen sense of organization.
● Essential Certifications: ○ Valid National Lifeguard and First Aid certifications.
○ PNCE Level II certification and a commitment to obtaining Level III.
○ QSF-compliant file.
● Relevant Experience: Solid experience in managing and planning training sessions or sports activities.
● Proven Leadership: Ability to motivate, inspire, and effectively manage swimmers, coaches, and other stakeholders.
● Customer-Oriented: Sharp sense of customer service, capable of building positive relationships with swimmers and their parents.
● Inclusive Team Management: Skill in managing a diverse team and maintaining a respectful and inclusive work environment.
● Exceptional Communicator: Ability to communicate clearly and dynamically, with excellent verbal skills.
● Autonomy and Team Spirit: Demonstrate autonomy in your tasks and excellent teamwork.
Job Information ● Start Date: As soon as possible ● Salary: To be discussed based on experience and qualifications ● Full-time 35 hours/week ● Hours: Variable based on training and competitions ● Work Location: Chambly Aquatic Complex and Beloeil Aquatic Center ● Remote work for administrative tasks.
